“We Are Different” … Says Everyone. But We Truly Are!
As the families that own and operate EV Auto, we live and work right here in Davis County. We’ve spent our lives as native Utahns (well, mostly). While we’re no strangers to Utah, we are pretty new to the car dealership scene. We started our business in late 2019, fueled by our passion for tech – software, hardware, apps, and everything in between. Our love affair with Teslas began when we started driving them personally, and we were instantly smitten with the most incredible cars ever built.
As time went by, we realized there weren’t any dealerships in Utah that specialized exclusively in EV’s and Hybrids. Whenever we wanted to check out a few models, we had to visit multiple locations. To make matters worse, the salespeople at these dealerships didn’t really understand how these cars worked. It was frustrating and inconvenient, to say the least. So, we decided to take matters into our own hands and launch EV Auto by buying and selling only one car at a time.
Along the way, we reflected on the aspects of car buying we didn’t enjoy – high pressure, lengthy transactions, useless add-ons, lack of follow-up, and an overall mediocre (or worse) experience. Coupled with the inconvenience of test-driving multiple EV’s in different locations and the knowledge gap at most dealerships, we saw an opportunity to do things differently – our way!
